    Heart Granny Square #3

    What I learned

    • Magic ring technique (MR)
    • Double crochet (DC)
    • Half double crochet (hdc)
    • Treble crochet (tr)
    • Single crochet (sc)
    • Slip stitch (SL ST)
    • How to tie two ends together

    Struggles

    • I might have crocheted extra stitches at the 3rd or 2nd layer, making the left bottom corner more extended out
    • At round 3, I accidentally cut off the yarn even though the video continues with chaining 2. Instead of doing a slip knot, I tried to reconnect the two ends so it seems like I did not cut the yarn.

    Thoughts

Looks really cute, I wish I did not make the mistake of making extra crochet stitches.

But now I know what went wrong in my previous granny square – I did not crochet properly for the corners, making them curl up

    Materials I used:

    • 3.0mm hook
    • 4-ply yarn
    • Scissors
    • Crochet sewing needle
  • Granny Square #2

    Granny Square #2

    What I learned

    • Magic ring technique (MR)
    • Double crochet technique(DC)
    • Standing double crochet instead of chaining 3
    • Slip stitch (SL ST)

    Struggles

    • Added extra layers so that it would be the same size as my previous granny square, where the last layer was single crochet. However, this made the granny square extra curled up…
      • I’m trying to flatten it by putting my laptop on top

    Thoughts

It does not look at square as a granny square should look due to the single crochet. Anyways, it reminds me of a snowflake and snow☃️

    I hope it flattens

    Materials I used:

    • 3.0mm hook
    • 4-ply yarn
    • Scissors
    • Crochet sewing needle
  • Daisy Granny Square #1

    Daisy Granny Square #1

    What I learned

    • Magic ring technique (MR)
    • Double crochet (Dc)
    • Treble crochet (tr)
    • Treble crochet clusters/ double treble for the petals
    • Slip stitch (SL ST)
    • Changing yarn colours

    Struggles

    • Treble crochet cluster was a little confusing at first, but I’m sure you’ll get it as you progress 🙂
    • I was more used to using another magic ring technique, so I used that instead of following the video. But still turned out the same

      Thoughts

This was not too bad for my first granny square, its really beautiful

      Materials I used:

      • 3.0mm hook
      • 4-ply yarn
      • Scissors
