About Me

Hi! Welcome to The Noob Crochet.

I’m a beginner crocheter who started learning during my holidays after graduation, before beginning university. I wanted to use my free time to pick up a new skill, and one day while shopping, I came across a crochet starter kit that cost a little over $10. On a whim, I decided to give it a try—and that’s how my crochet journey began.

This blog is a space where I document everything I learn along the way. As someone who started with absolutely no experience, I know how overwhelming it can feel when you don’t know where to begin or what to make first. My hope is that this website can make that first step a little easier for others.

Here, you can expect to find:

  • Recommendations for beginner-friendly videos and tutorials that helped me learn.
  • The materials, tools, and yarns I use, including where I buy them.
  • The projects I’ve completed and those I would recommend to other beginners.
  • The mistakes I’ve made and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

My goal is simple: to create a friendly place for anyone who wants to start crocheting but doesn’t know where to begin, or for those looking for inspiration for their next project. Crocheting has brought me a lot of joy, and I hope to share that joy and encourage more people to pick up this wonderful skill.

Thank you for joining me on this journey—one stitch at a time!
