    Coffee/ Matcha keychain ☕🍃

    What I learned

    • Magic ring technique (MR)
    • Single crochet (SC)
    • Increase (inc)/ Decrease (dec) stitches
    • Back loop only (BLO)/ Front loop only (FLO) stitches
    • Slip stitch (SL ST)
    • Practice sewing

    Struggles

    • I might have lost count during the middle of the cup as there is a bump instead of a straight line. So, it would be good if you keep track of the number of crochets per round/ use a stitch marker
    • I sewed the leg a little too far from the cup handle
    • The cup handle is slanted, as I got too excited and did not follow the video’s method of sewing 😁

    Thoughts

This would be such a great gift for coffee lovers 💖 and it’s so fun that she taught how to crochet a coffee bean and matcha leaf.

I sewed the leaf onto the coffee bean and hung it on the side.

    Materials I used:

    • 3.0mm hook
    • 4-ply yarn
    • Scissors
    • Crochet sewing needle
    • Stuffing
    • Stitch marker
    • Safety eyes (optional)
    • Keychain ring (optional)
    • blush (optional)

    What I learned

    • Magic ring technique (MR)
    • Single crochet (SC)
    • Increase (INC) and decrease (DEC) stitches
    • Slip stitch (SL ST)
    • Sewing the eyes, beak, and feet

    Struggles

    • Crochet pattern for this keychain is pretty easy – just a lot of single crochets – just need to take note of the count of stitches for each round

    Thoughts

It came out way smaller than I expected but I only had my skinny yarns. It is better to use thicker yarns like in the video

She used Weight 6 yarn which is 14-16 ply (8-12mm)

    Materials I used:

    • 3.0mm hook
    • 4-ply yarn
    • Scissors
    • Crochet sewing needle
    • Stuffing
    • Keyring (optional)
    • Safety eyes (optional)

    What I learned

    • Single crochet (sc)
    • Double crochet (dc)
    • Half double crochet (hdc)
    • Triple crochet (tr)
    • Slip knot
    • Slip stitch (SL ST)

    Struggles

    • Crocheting in the extra/ leftover yarn from the first half of the leaf has a little difficulty, especially when the yarn is short

    Thoughts

Practical, cute, and simple to crochet! You can use it to keep your wires tidy too

    Materials I used:

    • 3.0mm hook
    • 4-ply yarn
    • Scissors
    • Crochet sewing needle

    • Half double crochet (hdc)
    • Single crochet (sc)
    • Slip stitch (SL ST)
    • How to make a flower and leaf

    Struggles

    • My leaf was not symmetrical at first when crocheting the second half of the leaf, so I had to add a few more single crochets.
    • I did not tie the chain to the flower properly, it may fall out anytime

    Thoughts

I tried putting blush on the flower and it made it x1000 cuter. It looks more alive than if it were one solid color.

The chain looks a little long when I hung it up, so you could make it shorter if you want (make fewer chains instead of 48ch)

    Materials I used:

    • 3.0mm hook
    • 4-ply yarn
    • Scissors
    • Crochet sewing needle
    • Makeup blush and Qtip(optional)
  • Car Key Case

    What I learned

    • Single crochet technique (SC)
    • Increase (INC) and decrease (DEC) stitches
    • Magic ring (MR)
    • Slip stitches (SL ST)

    Struggles

    • The hair is a little time consuming and hard to handle for me
    • Glue is needed to stick the eyes to the body, if you don’t have the suitable glue, you can just stitch it on.
    • This can only fit automatic car keys

    Thoughts

This was my first crochet project that needed so much details (mouth, hair, eyes, limbs) and it was really exciting.

However, this case is better used as storage, as it is a little inconvenient when you need to take out the key to press the buttons

    Materials I used:

    • 3.0mm hook
    • 4-ply cotton yarn
    • Stitch marker (or a paper clip/ safety pin is fine)
    • Hot glue/ super glue (optional, if you don’t want to stitch)
    • Scissors
    • Stitch needle
